Aren’t we all just sketches;
Drawn from the Master’s hand.
Life charts its course across the
Lines that make us whole
Leaving us distorted and confused,
Battered and bruised.
Then, we pray to erase the pain away
And be drawn after in a new day.
Aren’t we all just sketches;
On parchment, drawn to imperfection
Desperately seeking beauty.

There are some crying the blues
Exhausting all chances for love
With nothing left to lose.
One questioning God falls blind;
Afraid of questioning self,
Self destructs one more time.
Sitting in emptines–
Denying truth.

America, great melting pot of
Disgruntled and unsatisfied men.
Land of the free (who afford it)
Home of the brave (who endure it)
Superpower of the beckoning world,
Your glory and grandeur slowly fades.
Recession ready conservatives, Grand Ole’
Backbone of our bone broken land,
Liberty has stubbed her toe on the
Corner of your politics.
How many more times will you reassure
Your people that the banner yet waves?
How many more false dreams will you sell
To maintain your spotless image?
America! Land of opportunity,
When will you knock on the doors of yours
In disgrace with fortune?
What will you add to determine our equality?
You America, clad in complaints,
Your whining will do no more!

We are what the normalists feared, Radical Poets with a jacked up
Message of Peace.
An over-cultural kind of counterculture
With thoughts of rebellion all the while
Screaming Revolution!
Riding on a trippy dream,
Laughing at those tired old nightmares
Drifting into a new freedom.
We are what the literary minds loathe—
The Untouchables of the written word.
Composing dissertations of a broken grammar
Getting HIGH on life and tripping on truth,
Making known our philosophy in a new reality
Choking the life out of Conformity ,
Giving breath back to Reform.
Pioneering a new wave perennial with personality
Radical Poets, gaining the World’s attention
By exploitation of a deeper thought.
